"Let's Partner on Climate Action. Now.: Veolia Signs the Call by leading CEO’s Committed to the Climate
CEOs from 43 leading international groups in 20 different sectors with operations in over 150 countries, jointly generating over $1.2 trillion dollars in revenue in 2014, are launching a joint initiative to lay down the bases for a global and responsible agreement on the climate, at the COP21 in Paris in December 2015.
Dealing with incidents
When dealing with incidents, Veolia is committed to making its resources available to the public authority and citizen-consumers.
2024 ANNUAL RESULTS
Landfill-Gas-to-Energy
Landfill gas is a mix of methane and carbon dioxide. Methane is a flammable toxic greenhouse gas twenty times more damaging to the climate than carbon dioxide. Instead of going into the atmosphere and becoming a greenhouse gas which is harmful to the environment, it can be collected in every landfill and used to produce renewable energy.
Industrial equipment and network cleaning and maintenance
Veolia ensures the proper operation of its industrial clients’ production base while helping boost productivity by cleaning, maintaining and repairing equipment. The strict respect of working schedules along with proper equipment maintenance minimizes production line downtime and maximizes the recycling of raw materials.
Automotive
Automobile manufacturers, their suppliers and industries in the metallurgical sector in general have four main objectives:
Landfills
Veolia manages more than 150 landfills in the world. Its landfill management system can effectively protect soil and underground water and as well as limiting the emission of greenhouse gases by incorporating specifically developed high-dimension landfill technology: impermeable membrane lining, leachate collection and treatment systems, and utilisation of landfill gas, and strict environmental monitoring.
